JAPAN OFURO

Classic Japanese bath for health and beauty

Ofuro is an ancient practice of Japanese culture, immersion in the waters of which gives harmony, health and tranquility

The Japanese have a special reverence for traditions that come from ancient times. In particular, it is about ofuro, a specific bath. It is believed that it helps to restore former attractiveness, restore mental harmony and live a long life without health problems.

Ofuro is three fonts with water of different temperatures
1

40-42°C

2

45-47°C

3

4-6°C

HOW TO STEAM IN AN OFURO

We recommend starting with the first font, where the water temperature is 40-42 degrees

After warming up in the first font, take a dip in the pool with a water temperature of 4-6 degrees for a contrasting effect

Complete the approach in the second font with a temperature of 45-47 degrees. It is recommended to make 3-4 approaches in total, and always finish the first font with a cold pool only

Ofuro is especially popular at Ark SPA Palace

We have tried to make a Japanese bathhouse according to all the canons of oriental traditions. You can visit Ofuro both on your own and in the company of relatives and friends. This ancient Japanese ritual will please you with comfort and the possibility to spend the whole day in Ark SPA Palace without feeling tired.

BENEFITS OF JAPANESE OFURO

The ancient Japanese tradition of Ofuro is not just a tribute to history, but also a healing remedy. Thanks to Ofuro you will forget about stress. It will relieve the pain of rheumatism and normalize metabolism, stimulate the heart and kidneys. Regular visit to Ofuro reduces the risk of colds. Thanks to a sufficiently high temperature, extra pounds are “boiled” right before your eyes, 3.5 times more harmful substances are excreted through the pores of the skin than through the kidneys, slags and toxins are eliminated from the body. Isn’t that why the Japanese live the longest, because they take a dip in Ofuro twice a day? The Japanese word “intoreta” means complete harmony. To achieve this state, to become an “absolute” warrior of everyday life, to discover the secret of health and well-being, try “Ofuro” – the embodiment of the interaction of the four elements, and, as the Japanese say, “The snows of time will not touch the green leaves of your soul!”.

Total time spent in the bathhouse

The best way to cool down between visits to the steam room is a shower or a cold pool near the sauna. Plunge into the pool gradually, without diving in and getting your head wet. Cooling with ice water or rubbing in the snow room – an excellent anti-stress. Contrast procedures strengthen vessels, improve blood circulation and relieve fatigue. Beginners are recommended to gradually increase the temperature difference: 3 minutes under hot water and 1 minute under cold water, repeating 3-4 times. The maximum effect from the bath is achieved by following the cycle “heating – cooling – rest”.

How do you take a traditional bath?

We recommend to make 2-3 visits to the steam room. The duration of visits is 8-10 minutes, as well as the duration of 1 single visit depends on the individual characteristics of the body.

Duration of stay in the steam room, including all visits, should not exceed 30-40 min. Rest between visits – 15-20 min.
